Narrative Statement
The American Foundation For Opioid Alternatives
With the ever growing opioid epidemic within America, we felt as though the time was now to give back. The principle goal of TAFFOA is multi-phased:
Provide grant opportunities to support low-income, recovering opioid addicts so they may have access to medical equipment and medical services not otherwise available or paid for by their insurance
Support Recovering Addicts
Provide Equipment
Fund Research
Support Injured
Athletes
What We Do?
We are on a mission to solve addiction
Support Recovering Addicts
Through rehabilitation programs, TAFFOA will financially support recovering addicts by helping them regain their way of life without the financial burden.
Support Student Athletes
TAFFOA believes in keeping student athletes opioid naive. By partnering with non-opioid alternative companies, TAFFOA will support drug free return to sport.
Support Research
We believe that research is the key to the future. TAFFOA will be support and syndicating research programs to test opioid alternatives for both chronic and acute orthopedic injuries.
Support Families
We know that addiction affects a whole family. TAFFOA is dedicated to help provide resources to families of injured patients by provide equipment, and pro bono services.
Making a Difference
TAFFOA will also strive to accurately and efficiently support testing for specialty drugs such as Fentynal and all the metabolites and subsets of other types of fentanyl. By supporting laboratory work, we can accurately measure and report on the types of fentanyl that are currently utilized in the street market. By collecting this data, we will be able to effectively focus research opportunities into the future through programs that aim to lower opioid abuse. By arranging a pro bono offering through partner channels, we will be able to save the lives of thousands of individuals who are suffering with addiction on the street.
Our Vision
We aim to be a center point for charitable contributions and impact investing. There are many opportunities for people to give back to the community. However, the primary issue with standard donations is that they are missing the impact component.
Our Mission
Drug addiction is commonly correlated with a lower socioeconomic status, and therefore, a lower earning potential. It is the mission of TAFFOA to make drug testing and education available to the public through any means necessary.
How Can You Help?
Your donation will help us complete opioid research, support injured student athletes and help recovering addicts.
